From the Cajamarca region of Peru, this bourbon coffee bean grows in the San Ignacio & Jaen provinces and is decaffeinated via the Swiss water process. Our decaf is available as a half-caff blend with your roast of choice, whether you want to pair it with fruits or with chocolates. We highly recommend this as a blend for those mid afternoon pick-me-ups, or when you want another coffee but don't want to be too wired.

Important notes regarding decaf:

Decaf contains less carbon dioxide than standard coffee, which means it will not remain at peak freshness for as long. We recommend brewing your decaf within ten days of receiving it. If you're not likely to finish the bag within a week, we suggest placing it in the freezer upon receiving it, and when you're ready to brew, grind the beans directly from frozen. When brewing espresso, you will need to grind finer and pull a shorter shot in terms of ratio and time. When brewing filter coffee, you will want to grind slightly coarser, as the additional fines in decaf can cause filters clogging. Please consult us with any additional questions regarding brewing.
